Although I have worked with clay on and off for many years, I have focused largely on building with coils over the past five or six years. I enjoy the freedom to explore more organic structures which provides endless opportunities for design with color and pattern. at times I explore more abstract shapes with texture only.
I have a background in commercial art in Cape Town in the sixties and later in art history at ASU. I am sure that both have influenced my work.
