My work captures an impression of an ever-changing landscape. The landscape becomes illusory like a mirage that may only be observed or a dream that may only be remembered. Many times, the unreal landscape is grounded by a familiar and safe refuge such as a house or shelter that challenges our perception of belonging in this impermanent and ever-changing world.
I received my Master of Fine Arts degree in ceramics and painting from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drawing and printmaking from the Arizona State University. I am a working artist, primarily a painter, living in Phoenix Arizona.
